Five Happiness Easel is a celebration of the joy inherent in the creative act. Named originally for a beloved New Orleans landmark, the title eventually took on a deeper resonance, echoing the ‘five blessings’ of health, wealth, longevity, virtue, and peace. In this vibrant study, the easel is no longer a silent witness, but a colorful participant in my life as an artist—a reminder that the act of painting is, in itself, a deep source of happiness.
