I remember reading a story about Jackson Pollock going into a house where someone had one of his paintings and he insisted on making corrections to it. Apparently that may not have actually happened, but it always stuck with me because I feel the same way.
Sometimes there are errors that I simply didn’t see before, and other times I just have a new idea to improve the image. And sometimes it’s just a matter of bad photography. Thanks to digital tools, I can upload the picture and make improvements.
I saw a photo of Green Goddesses recently and noticed a lot of glare, so I wanted to fix it. I imported it into my favorite digital painting app, Sketchbook. Five hours later, it was ready to go. While I was drawing I couldn’t help but make a few other corrections and additions. See if you can find ’em.
