On the easel

This is the painting that’s been on my easel for the past two weeks. The first phase was all black and white and Payne’s Gray. Now I’m adding color through glazes. It’s very slow going, very meditative, and tons of fun, actually. This technique was used over 500 years ago and I’m not quite sure why I’ve never tried it before.  It’s about time, though.
